How does the Mail-in Unlock process actually work?

  1. Have an AutoTuner Tool (Master or Slave).
    A solution for AutoTuner One will be available soon.

  2. Perform an identification of the vehicle to confirm the ECU reference.
    A message will confirm whether:

    • the ECU is supported,

    • the ECU is already unlocked,

    • Remote Unlock is available.

  3. Take off the ECU and check its general condition (pins, casing, etc.).

  4. Purchase the “Mail-in Unlock” product on autotuner.com.

  5. Carefully pack the ECU, print the DHL label received by email after your order, and send the parcel.

  6. Once the ECU is received, reinstall it in the vehicle.
    Reading and writing via OBD will be possible with your AutoTuner Tool.
