How does the Remote Unlock process actually work?

  1. Have an AutoTuner Tool (Master or Slave).
    A solution for AutoTuner One will be available soon.

  2. Perform an OBD identification of the vehicle to confirm the ECU reference.
    A message will confirm whether:

    • the ECU is supported,

    • the ECU is already unlocked,

    • remote unlock is available.

  3. Take off the ECU and check its general condition (pins, casing, etc.).

  4. Open the ECU following the video procedure.

  5. Put back the ECU in the engine bay and start the car to check if the PCB wasn't damaged by opening the ECU.

  6. Purchase the “Remote Unlock” product on autotuner.com.

  7. Carefully pack the ECU, print the DHL label received by email after your order, and send the parcel.

  8. Once the ECU is received, reinstall it in the vehicle.
    Reading and writing via OBD will be possible with your AutoTuner Tool.

If the ECU is not opened as requested, no operation will be performed.
